About these terms

These terms cover your use of cspulse.com (the "site"), our member workspace at app.cspulse.com (the "workspace"), the CS Pulse newsletter, our WhatsApp and Slack groups, and our live sessions, called Rooms. CS Pulse Community was founded by Anirudh Kumar and is run together with a core team of community members who host, moderate and help organise it. The founder is responsible for the community today, and will share that responsibility with the core team as the community grows. "We", "us" and "our" mean CS Pulse Community.

By using the site or joining the community, you agree to these terms and to our Code of Conduct, which sets out how members treat each other in Rooms and groups. If you do not agree, please do not use them. How we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy.

What CS Pulse Community is

CS Pulse Community is a practitioner-first community for Customer Success professionals, with a newsletter alongside it. Members stay in touch in our WhatsApp and Slack groups and on the workspace, and meet in small live sessions called Rooms, where they work through real customer scenarios together. It is education and peer discussion. It is not professional, legal, financial or employment advice, and it is not a guarantee of any result.

Joining the community and applying for a Room

There are two ways in. Joining the community gives you a place in our WhatsApp and Slack groups and an account on the workspace, once your application is approved. Applying for a Room is a separate step for each session: seats are limited, and we choose who gets one, including to give each Room a spread of experience. Applying does not guarantee a seat, and being in one Room does not guarantee a seat in the next.

You must be at least 18, and the information you give us must be accurate. Keep your workspace sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may set eligibility criteria, and we may decline an application, or remove a member from the groups, the workspace or a Room, without giving a reason.

How Rooms and groups work

Rooms and our groups run on trust, and by taking part you agree to the following:

• Keep what you hear inside the community. Do not repeat what another member said in a Room or a group, or who said it, outside the community.
• Keep your employer and customers safe. Do not share confidential information, or details that identify a customer or a person, unless you have the right to. You are responsible for following your own confidentiality obligations.
• No selling. Do not pitch, promote or recruit for a product, service or job in a Room or a group, or message members to sell to them.
• No recording of your own. Do not record, screenshot or run your own note-taker in a Room, or share screenshots of group conversations. We never record video in Rooms. We transcribe the audio of Rooms with a botless note-taker run by the moderator or another agreed member, with everyone's agreement, as our Privacy Policy explains.
• Be respectful. Disagreement is welcome. Harassment and personal attacks are not.

Large events

We sometimes run larger events, such as webinars and educational sessions with invited leaders. These may be recorded, including video, and the recordings used for educational and marketing purposes. Each event's registration page says whether it will be recorded, and registering with that notice means you agree to being included in the recording. This applies to those larger events only, never to Rooms.

What you share

You keep the rights to what you say and write in a Room, a group or the workspace. You give us permission to use it, in anonymised form, in recap notes, the newsletter and other CS Pulse content, and to keep it for our own records. We will not name you or your customers or your company without asking you first.

Our content

The newsletter, the playbook, the recap notes, the design and code of the site, and the CS Pulse name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the playbooks and notes in your own work, at your job or in your own business, and you may adapt them. You may not republish them as your own, sell them, or bundle them into a product or course. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page you took them from.

Services we use

The newsletter is delivered through Substack, applications run through Tally, our Rooms and events are published on Luma, and our groups run on WhatsApp and Slack. Each has its own terms and privacy policy, which apply when you use it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, the workspace or the systems behind them;
• use automated tools to copy the site or the workspace in bulk, or to collect members' details;
• give us information that is false or belongs to someone else;
• use the site for anything unlawful;
• pretend to be us, or suggest that we endorse you or your product.

Emailing us

If you write to us, you keep the rights to what you send. You give us permission to use it to reply and to improve CS Pulse. If we want to quote you publicly, we will ask first.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites and services, including Substack, Tally, Luma, WhatsApp, Slack and LinkedIn. We do not control them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

No warranty

We work to keep the site accurate and available, and to run good Rooms, but we provide them "as is". We do not promise that the site will be error-free or always available, that content will not go out of date, or that a Room will produce any particular result. Members' views are their own, and we do not check them.

Limit of our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or business, arising from your use of the site or the community, or your reliance on what you read or hear there. Our total liability for any claim connected with the site or the community is limited to INR 10,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or wilful default, or any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Suspending access

We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site or the community at any time, and we may block access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site or the community after a change means you accept it.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have under law to bring a claim where you live or work, including your rights as a consumer, the courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about the site, the community or these terms.
